It's fun and rewarding.
It's certainly not for everyone, only those who like to work to their fullest and enjoy it and be proud of the final result.
It's rewarding when you publish it to sites such as NewGrounds, or better yet a site of your own, especially when it has good reception.
What makes animation and song-writing enjoyable for me is it's not the kind of work like house work where you have to do it again the next day or week (depending on the task), it's the kind of work that makes a lasting impression over yourself and on others.
